Meet the Doctor

Dr. Amy Henry

Dr. Henry graduated from Texas A & M University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science in 1994. She then went on to receive her Optometry degree from The University of Houston College of Optometry in 1998. Dr. Henry received externship training with an oculoplastic ophthalmologist where she learned about orbital tumors, treating ocular trauma, lacrimal and eyelid abnormalities, and the different cosmetic procedures of the orbital area. She also received externship training in corneal dystrophies and degenerations, cataract and LASIK co-management.

After graduating from optometry school, Dr. Henry moved to Champions, a suburb of North Houston where she is originally from. Dr. Henry worked for a clinic in the area between having her two children, Presley and Grant. The family moved to The Woodlands, another suburb of North Houston, where they lived and Dr. Henry practiced until they moved to Victoria in 2007.  Outside of work, the  Dr. Henry enjoys weekends in Port O’Connor and Dr. Henry’s family ranch. Dr. Henry is an avid runner and belongs to VARRA, Victoria Area Road Runner Association. She participates in local races and sponsors them as well. She is a member of the Victoria chapter of ABWA, American Business Women’s Association, a member of the Junior League of Victoria, and the Victoria Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Henry enjoys being active in the community and sponsors a number of local events and student’s sports teams. She is also on the board of the local YMCA, Junior League and The Nave Museum. Dr. Henry is a member of TOA, Texas Optometric Association and AOA, American Optometric Association.

Dr. Tyler Kvinta

Dr. Kvinta was born in Victoria, and raised in Yoakum, Texas where he
graduated From Yoakum high school. He attended college at the
University of Texas at Austin or where he studied biology to prepare
himself for optometry school. After graduation, he completed his
Doctorate of Optometry degree at the University of Houston College of
Optometry.

During his clinical rotations, Dr. Kvinta gained experience in a wide
variety of practices. His first, at a private practice group in San
Antonio, focused on management of ocular disease diagnosis and
treatment with a focus on diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma. He then
did a rotation at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, providing
eye care for our active duty as well as retired service men and women.
Finally, he also spent time in a private practice in Sugarland,
focusing on advanced dry eye management and myopia management, both of
which he is continuing in Victoria. Through these rotations and his
time in school, Dr. Kvinta Has gained important skills and grown as an
eye care professional. He is excited to be back in the crossroads area
to serve the community he grew up around and provide the highest
quality eye care.
